Transitions are hard, and they make for a crap month for reading. But I’m somewhat settled in my new (old) city, have a somewhat standard schedule (for teaching cycling and temporarily helping to run a bakery), and have some future projects I can count on. Still, though. Reading. It has been hard to focus, again, and I’ve had so much running around to do. It takes such a crazy schedule just to find ways to establish a regular one.

I was not in love with most of what I read. BUT I am getting better at quitting books earlier on if I am not engaged. There is just no time in the world to read things you don’t like to read. I DNF’d two books this month, and they are not on this list because I don’t think it’s fair, because it was just as much me as the books. If it’s just that the book is 100% terrible, I have no problem publicly DNF-ing.

Anyway, here’s to a better next month.
