Review Policy

I'm glad you're interested in having me review your book. Here's how I approach reading and reviewing, so we can figure out if we're a good fit.

What I Review

I primarily read and review young adult and middle grade fiction. I'm drawn to contemporary stories, thoughtful genre fiction, and books that engage with culture, identity, and the messiness of growing up. I also read select adult fiction and nonfiction when the subject grabs me.

I choose books based on genuine interest — I don't review everything that lands in my inbox, and I don't promise coverage just because a copy was sent my way.

Advance Reader Copies

I do accept ARCs from publishers and authors. Receiving an advance copy doesn't guarantee a review, and I'll always be honest in my assessment. If I decide not to feature a book, I may still mention it in a reading audit or roundup post.

I prefer finished copies or digital galleys. Please include a publication date and any relevant content notes when reaching out.

How I Review

My reviews are personal and conversational. I talk about what worked, what didn't, and how a book sat with me as a reader. I don't assign star ratings, and I don't write plot summaries — you can find those elsewhere. What you'll get is my honest reaction, placed in the context of the broader literary landscape.
